I’ll return to ‘Hopelessness’ sometime, right now I’ve been going back to the previous ‘and the Johnsons’ ones
I bumped ‘I Am a Bird Now’ from a 4 to a 4.5 and I might bump ‘Crying Light’ up to a 4 from a 3.5.
Don’t know the debut too well outside of a couple of great songs so need to give that one a fair shot.

yeah, has that AOTY potential...I'd still rate 'I Am a Bird Now' slightly ahead of it though which maybe complicates things I don't know

'Bird' is better but this is really good and that record is a hard bar to clear

Debut is hard to go back to, backing is so ‘vocalist showcase’ basic
Also the vocal approach is conventional - sound big, hit the notes
A few songs with great melodies but overall lacks nuance and personality which is strange with a voice this unique
Always thought my 3 rating was harsh but right now struggling to make a case for it to go up :/
