Putney is the MVP of the underground metal scene no matter what anyone says.

Just bitter annoying people with shit takes don't like Putney and his contributions. Dude produced Radical in the same style as this and you didn't really see anyone complain about Radical's prod

Radical and this sound great, the Vein.fm album from last year had horrific production though

Yeah he definitely missed the mark on that one, as good of an album is it was. Weird too bc he also produced Errorzone which is probably his finest work ever imo.

Looking at the list of albums Putney has produced with this in mind just absolutely fuckin gooped at how scorching hot of a take that is

now that this has dropped, it totally sounds closer to ETID than Dillinger right?

My brother says it sounds just like Dillinger and I gotta assume that’s basically just because of Greg, this doesn’t sound much like DEP to me

What other producer is as involved as Putney? Name one.

Is the metric just how involved someone is? If you completely ignore quality I can see your argument.

"ignore quality"

ETID, Greyhaven, Vein, END, Counterparts, FFAA, Better Lovers, Amity, etc. Yea idk, those are all right up my alley at least. I have an immense amount of respect for that dude.

Kurt ballou is involved and also competent. I don’t know how involved Aaron turner is now but he used to be as well an also competent af. Putney is very involved. He’s also produced mostly shit records.

If we're talking all-time, it def goes to Turner and/or Ballou.

Even if neither are involved (iirc Ballou still does prod for bands), their influence is still heard.

It has it's moments, but nothing really blowing me away here. Good to hear Greg back, but dude has a fuckin' weird voice.
