M. Shadows' vocals have been a point of contention for a long time. He legitimately sounds like he's turtle-heading at times, but god damn it if he's not giving it his all. I hadn't considered it from that angle though. Yeah, it's weird and off-putting, but so is a lot of this album and maybe that's where the charm lies.

Giving this my first attentive listen, and wow is Cosmic awesome or what.
Crazy how inconsistent Shadows's voice is within even the first 5 songs. Generally sounds great in Cosmic and the complete opposite in Nobody. Truly one of the weirdest rock voices of our time.
