ShapeOf I'm curious what qualities you feel would warrant a widespread backlash to an album? Actually asking here like what would justify the level of hate this is getting here in your eyes

Even while giving this a 4 the album pummels me with moments that I want to give a 1, so it's hard for me to argue with any of the range of ratings here, there's just *something* about their sound and I'm just not as bothered by his voice as some people that makes me vibe with them.

There's a lot of annoying core kids acting like this is the best thing to happen to music and shoving it down everyone's throat, I think that immediately puts a lot of people off, then you have the whole masks and worship thing, a lot of people see that as pretty cringe and are immediately put off, and then you have the guy's voice and a lot of his lyrics and overall lyrical themes of like unrequited love while also being horny as fuck [probably the worst aspect for me although I enjoy his voice for the most part he still does a lot of unnecessary bullshit with it and the lyrics are mostly awful], as well as a blend of genres that are going to immediately turn people away one way or the other, because if they like one aspect of the blend but not another that's a turn off, or if they don't think any singular aspect is strong enough that may be enough to put them off.



All perfectly good reasons to not enjoy that stand out to me but don't hinder my enjoyment enough to make me dislike it.

You're just denying yourself a lot of fun banger albums, there's riffs man and Sams cleans honestly rip really hard. I would say at least All Our Gods and Lost Forever are worthy albums. There's RIFFS

Lost forerver was their peak for me tbh. Take out the context of Toms death from All our gods and it can feel a bit samey, does have some peak moments though Gone with the wind, gravity, Wilderness
