My face is the same as the critter on the art at how bland this sounds. (2)

Maybe a bit too long. A big step up from Death Atlas because it doesn’t waste time with needless interludes, and the goblin vocals are used more sparingly. It still feels like Anthropocene part 3, and that’s fine, but I swear I’ve heard every one of these songs before, same exact sounds just slightly rearranged. Monolith still holds up, and the goblin vocals there actually add to the music

What's really puzzling to me is that on RYM the genre black metal got voted out, while ever since monolith these guys have been bringing the dimmu pretty hard

but yea this slaps, really good stuff. I don't remember much from death atlas, and this is already crawling into my head and I'm not even finished with it yet

Album is so damn good, much better than Death Atlas and maybe Anthropocene. Monolith will always reign supreme though.

Drum tone on here is so crisp, sounded bricked to hell on Death Atlas.

Yes, it has been an obvious part of their formula for quite some time. Interestingly enough, the drummer's favorite band is, or was, Dark Funeral.

Ive never listened to this band before but is it just me or do the cleans sound really goofy?

That seems to be the main discussion point with this band lol

They can be goofy for sure but I think they were used tastefully on this album. Travis overdid it big time on Death Atlas

I’ve never given this band a chance before and saw Notrap’s review and finally relented. It was the goblin cleans in the 3rd song that made me sit up. So good. Gonna have to check death atlas

Those high-pitched shrieks reminds me of Udo, from Accept. I'm glad I helped spark your curiosity about these guys ;) Death Atlas also has some great highlights like One Day Closer… I think you'll like it. Let us know your thoughts.
