I must say the drumming on this is very strong. Rob did an excellent job

Fun fact this record was produced with solar power

Also fun fact yes Rou produced this one as well so far as I’m aware. I thought his style worked better on the last one, this feels too blocky and saturated but idk anything about mixing lol rip

God the lyrical callbacks on here stick out like a sore thumb covered in Cheeto dust

On first listen I wasn't sure about this, but with more listens it all kinda takes shape and gets more and more enjoyable.

Yeah I’m really not so keen on the lyrical Easter eggs. They don’t bring anything to this and if anything, take me out of the listening experience

Feel like Enter Shikari have been on a downhill slope since "The spark'. They are just kind of throwing everything at the wall but not much is sticking.

I hope they go back to basics on the next album focus on writing good heavy riffs and use only electronics...no orchestra or anything overblown. Keep the catchy chorus' tho!

This shits all over the last 2 albums (which were crap, sorry fellas) but it's still not great.

They're sadly never going to write anything as good as The Mindsweep again let alone TTTS imo

The Spark is fucking rubbish and easily their worst album. The only good song on there is Ode

Spark was a huge grower for me, it's prob my 3rd favourite Shikari now.

Now it's listening time!

Mindsweep is their weakest album imo. It felt so vapid and dull, albeit with some bangers. I even find this album a more interesting listen

Ehhh, dunno how I feel about this one. Feels a bit bare bones compared to the last album. I loved that one.

The run from Garrison to Torn Apart is the best run of songs they've done outside of TTTS and it's the only album of theirs I ever return too outside of TTTS. The only song on there I really don't like is Anaesthetist and that's all down to Rou as the guy doesn't have a clue about how bad the NHS is and how it's in dire need of reform yet people like him who worship the NHS makes it impossible for any government to reform it.
