This is really bad. I find there’s a trend to combine things that make a “good” album in a certain genre and just throwing it together and expecting it to work. Forget legitimate inspiration and creativity. Blast beats and cookie cutter vocals and aggressive grooves. Like it’s a formula and not musical expression

Me? Because people are entitled to their opinions. He had a set of circumstances and experiences that led him to his just like everyone else. I welcome differing opinions and try to make people feel comfortable expressing them. How else can you have a productive dialogue with anyone?

a) opinions are not the same as wrong factual statements, even if said with the conviction of bible belt zealot.

b) discriminatory nonsense is not a valid "opinion" when it comes to certain regards, i.e. marginalised groups and their structural discrimination, especially if again - we are talking untrue factual statements.

c) productive dialogue - there can be no "productive dialogue" with someone who tries to invalidate either a person or group's identity, existence or their (systematic) treatment.

d) you sound like a grade a bootlicker who'd also argue nazis are entitled to "opinions".

tl; dr: you can go join gyro's club of shitty "edgy" opinions. both musically and structurally.

a and b: when did we bring up discrimination? i saw gyro talking about antifa and stuff. discrimination is objectively wrong, but i still think it's wrong to entirely dismiss the individual for engaging in it. everyone is exposed to different things and have differing abilities to assess things with consideration and logic
c: you grow up in a racist environment + you're dumb af = you are highly likely to become racist. this doesnt automatically exclude the possibility of having a productive dialogue and influencing the person's perspective. this narrowminded thinking promotes "me vs them". the exact problem with your supposed enemy
