Lol I almost forgot how silly the bass kick sounds on this record. It’s like a constant pitter-patter that never ends

Still one of Immo's best imo.

This is mid tier Immo for me which means it’s still amazing. m/

Wish they'd remaster and remix this one for its anniversary. It deserves it. I took 0.5 off for the production. I don't mind it, but man if this had the production of Close or something I'd be ecstatic. Obv the drums need work, but guitars could be mixed a bit better too tbh.
I still maintain this has some of Vigna's best/craziest riffs and solos. Perfect follow-up to HiA, and perfect bridge between that album and Close imo.

The first four immolation albums are their best.

Agreed. Well, I'd say first 5. UC rips too.

First 5 yeah. M&D and Atonement are fingerlickin' good as well

Oh, I completely agree with both of those statements. It's just the first four are classic/very near classic.

I mostly say that because of production. If this were on the level of UC, maybe they'd be equal in my eyes. This and Shadows in the Light are two most underrated Immo albums

M&D and Atonement both rip for sure but yeah DoP kills them both imo. I also like this better than UC despite the production (if this had better production, I'd have this 5'd easy) but I do agree that this and Shadows are their most underrated for sure.
"Oh, I completely agree with both of those statements. It's just the first four are classic/very near classic." < Can't argue with that. I just personally consider UC a classic as well.

The DoP tracks still tear shit up live
