Dropping Elysium early on top of it being the closer was just a poor choice.

What makes it even worse is that song came out before the tracklist was even revealed, so people had no idea it was the closer lol.

The Ocean has dropped an album closer as a lead single before.

The difference being that it's the fuckin' Ocean Collective and you know shit's gonna rock.

I'm going to come back to this before I rate it. First couple listens didn't do a whole lot for me, unfort.

Probably come back to it next week and see if it clicks more. Might just not be in the mood for it today

The sooner you stop caring about RYM's userbase, the better you will be.

the only number that truly drags one down is one's weight and number of hours spent on the internet arguing about politics

Wait I cant laugh at them? Numbers are numbers it's just gonna be funny. Can't sully their charts with something like this, they have to drag it down somehow lol

I'm curious about though, how exactly are they advancing the sound? What are they accomplishing here that peers or forefathers have not already done?

Bands like Ascariasis perfected this long ago, this alb missed the boat.

@venin oh you can laugh away, sure, but laughing still implies you care somewhat. Caring not at all is far more liberating, but I ain't gonna tell ya how to live yer life.

Kind of confused as to why a band as awesome as The Ocean is being compared to this so so dribble.

Compared only in the loose collection of "released closing track as lead single" bands. Doesn't go any deeper.
