I mean I can understand some of the low ratings. This is quite the patient test, but at the same time it's beautifully crafted. A 1.5 is too much, anyone with a bit of sense could see that.
But not our ajcollins.

Not sure what I was expecting, it is definitely a funeral drone metal record with those extremely rich and haunting dark ambient synthesizers to keep you spooked the whole time. Expect this album just feels like a complete blur when you put it on. None of the textures or progressions capture me in any way, plus everything feels so similar when you go from track to track.

I can’t get enough of this album. 2:25 in to Descent, where her vocals join the guitars, arpeggios ringing out in the background, with everything fading to near silence a minute later aside from a muted vocal line. So many moments like that where the band are playing around with volume and decay in really interesting ways.

Agree Aluk, I was revisiting it today and there's many moments that start to surface after many listens. Brilliant album.
