dissolution wave rocks and is peak cloakroom. time well is good but much sleepier. further out has some of their best songs and was done by mat talbot of hum. both eps are worth checking too

this is rly excellent but occasionally feels a lil too cold to truly be a (wet) dream for me, i want more imagination/sound inside me and less sketchbook/blossom if that makes sense

Yeah… I think some of my early hype is already waning a tad bit. I do think it’s a step up from the last album and has some astronomical highs but maybe not quite as amazing as I initially thought; may cool to a solid 4.

Still gorgeous but it wore off me a tiny bit. Insomnia, Parade, and Sketchbook are by biggest three takeaways, and there are no subpar tracks. Strong 4/5.

as much as I appreciate aiming for a ~pretty~ approach this time around (and it comes to a stunning head on that run from "Arrival" through "Sketchbook,") this dude could really stand to chop a few of the less adventurous songs off his records. cool to see him not confine himself to the grittier desperation of TSTNPotD but admittedly the rough edges and pained deliveries were the draw. I'm hoping I'll grow to like this on its own terms, but for as pleasant as this is as a change of direction, nothing really blew me away like on the previous record
