It has it's moments, but it's still a pretty average album.

A '5' to some people is more of a 'favorite' rating than a classic. I don't consider this a 'classic'. A 'favorite' it is.

Wow ......This is my first comment and I'm so damm excited!!!
Anyway I think as a year old Slayer-fan that this album is very much like "God Hates Us All", but there are two main things that separate these albums: GHUA sounds more broken and fierce than Christ Illusion, which has much more melodic verse riffs than GHUA... This is a very good Slayer album and only crappy thing is that Toms voice is getting more worse.... He had a sick and twisted voice when I heard Reign in Blood.... But I have to understand that he has screamed over 20 years =(
