Good god this is terrible. I keep tentatively approaching whatever new record Billy releases thinking "ok I'm sure I've heard SP at rock bottom for the last several records, this one can't be any worse" yet he keeps managing it! For me the last semi decent thing he released was Zeitgeist, and there was quite a few decent unreleased songs from that era too. Everything since then has just got worse and worse. I said this years ago but I honestly think there's no one giving feedback to him on these records as he's making them, so there's no sort of 'quality control' of any sort going on between the time the songs are recorded and released.

Act 2 has three songs I don't mind so it's a little better than this. Still a 2 though.

These albums are absolutely fucking awful. They're actively playing against their strengths at this point. Corgan just did an interview where he earnestly said that his main aspiration with this album is getting SP back on the pop charts, he has completely lost it.
