This is good but it hasn't quite hit me yet.

I'm getting tired of vocalists in bands I love singing, like, super quietly. Conor is mumbling on half this album.

Sowing those are the exact two albums I'm referring too lol. Yeah, I get it. I should like what Conor's doing on this one, but idk. Something about it rubs me the wrong way each time I listen.

I think I feel that he could do the quiet/loud thing even more effectively if he just sang softly instead of this weird vocal fry ass whisper-mumble whilst leaning away from the mic.

In Poor Taste has a very real possibility of ending up on my Spotify top 5 despite dropping in the middle of November

I love how Canto firmly thrusts you headfirst into the abyss for the album's last act...in poor taste kind of inches you right up to it and then boom total disorientation

And the payoff for the title track is absolutely immense. Less collection of songs...more just signposts along the way to that final destination

The thing is I get almost more turned on from thinking about my experience of this album than the actual experience of listening to it

Agree with Feather. Couple solid tracks on here and nothing is outright awful except towards the end, but meh

Yeah likely so, Feather bro. I think I like it slightly less with further plays. I think this has a few great tracks but overall it's basically the quintessential 3 of 2022 imo. Nothing mind blowing but also nothing outright bad

I don’t know what it is, I was fine flying when I was a kid but any time I have to now usually involves more than a few xanax or copious amounts of liquor.

It could be 7 AM and I’d still be ordering doubles from the attendant.
