I liked some of his lyrics in the past but maybe it was because I didn’t realize he was trying so hard? Like the motives behind it didn’t seem so disingenuous lol

The part of the band lyric about soy milk and the nation is one of the hackiest things he's ever written lol

you ask about the cows wearing my sweater (she is asking him about the cows who for some reason are wearing one of his sweaters)

Hard to wrap my head around just how bad the lyrics on this are. (Good album agreed.)

Self-awareness is hard to download, so maybe he’s not to blame, if we really think about it

It is true that each track is good and there are many changes of tempo.

But I can hear a lot of references to others. Like Wintering really sounds like John Mayer, Human Too sound like Jamie Cullum. and some Chainsmokers vibes.

The big impression of listening to this album is that I think they took a lot of other artists' great works and used them as models. Instead, I felt that the band's own personality became blurred.

Like most 1975 albums... There are a lot of great songs on this album and then there are a lot of subpar (or corny) ones ( almost 50/50). The main difference here is the level of production IMO. It is almost a GREAT album but for now, it will stay as good for me. About You and When We Are Together really shine through and keep me excited for this band.

He’s wrong. Most of youse are. In fact 92% of this site is made up of absolute naive claptrap.
