How is this currently sitting at 3.4, that seems lower than it should be, should be high 3s easily.

I mean... you have everything rated as either a 5 or a 1.... so you're not the most objective person here lol. But you do you homie.

Law Abiding Citizen wasn't my favorite at first but I've grown to really enjoy the change in pace. Ladder Work is also one of their best tracks in my opinion.

I'm with you Fear. That's where it starts to fall off for me too. Could have been a sick 6-song EP or something haha.

I always loved Stray From the Path's sound but felt they struggled with writing consistently strong records. They're basically a heavier Rage Against the Machine. Although that declaration is a little reductive considering how immediately identifiable their sound is. I'm very happy that they've released a collection of songs that feels like they've reached their potential.

Fair enough. Stray's earlier records feel a great deal more unrefined and uninterstering to me, but I know critically those records are considered their best. Regardless they sound like a different band on those records. Personally, I find it telling that the guitarist has discredited their earlier material for similar reasons.

It speaks volumes about our society that these guys can make a living off of complaining about the same stuff over and over again. Abuse of power, police violence, corruption etc. everything's gotten worse since they started off. Kudos for still managing to making it sound fresh up to this day.

Didn't rank this high enough on my year end list, this is one of the best heavy records of 2022

Well, I'm an insufferable lefty, so I'll cancel out one of the conservative ones in an act of natural equilibrium.

Also because even the last four tracks are great despite not living up to the first slammin' half.
