It's worth going out of your way to download it. It's got 2 of their best songs (Daylight, Chinese Organ Thieves)

Seeing these dudes on Friday with Bayside and Armor for Sleep. Hope they break out some songs from this album for the possibility of hearing Nate go nuts on the vocals.

Hell yeah, have fun. Based on what I’ve seen from their semi-recent shows (on YouTube) they put on a solid 2-3 tracks from this album. Should be a great show

lmaoooo
that Back To Oblivion album was such a huge disappointment. Not sure what happened, but whatever they had going on on this album is just gone. It's honestly really sad. Wish they somehow got their shit together because this was so timeless. I'd take more demos in this vein at this point, I don't care

the 2016 demos were rad and so was world of violence so i think they can still do it as long as they arent nostalgia baiting the burn sound like they were on oblivion. they just need to not break up a 4th time

I really liked Picasso Trigger a lot off Back to Oblivion but everything else was so meh. I'm not sure why they didn't at least do something in a similar vein to their self-titled EP but I'm hoping any new output is just them trying to be creative again. This band is at their best when they have Nate going balls to the wall on vox and I think they became too tame after this release.

For sure. I still think it was fucking criminal that they never released those World Of Violence demos as a followup. Like, it wasn't as good as this obviously, but it was a clear and organic continuation of this. I still jam that once in a while

"This band is at their best when they have Nate going balls to the wall on vox and I think they became too tame after this release."
big reason for break-up number 3 or whatever it was. Nate wanted to continue down this album's sound and the rest of the band thought they'd proven what they wanted to with this album and wanted to do something else. I think there was two sets of the phantasma demos released with nate's version being waaaay better that illustrated this.

Yeah the internal strife with the band in terms of what direction they wanted to go is weird and you wouldn't think the singer would be the guy pushing for the more progressive instrumentals.
Maybe Randy and the others were looking to capitalize on the WIITB sound that's more commercially viable? I've gone on at length about WIITB being one my favorite albums and I still adore it but we already have WIITB and everything that wasn't Say Hello to Sunshine has felt like a watered down attempt at creating WIITB 2.
If they could combine the hooks of WIITB with the musicianship and unhinged screams from this album then it'd be perfect.

I would pay a lot of money for a doc on this band. It's been a rocky road, I would love to just hear everyone say their piece

Absolutely. I'm not big on a small handful of the songs in the middle section but it easily has some of their best output.
