I absolutely adore this album. This has been back in my daily rotation for the past couple of weeks. A Man Alone remains one of my favorite songs off of this. I wish we lived in a world where these guys were still together and made music as good as this. One can always dream I guess.

We at least got the Phantasm demos as a close off.
Point and Click is one of their best songs too.

Does anyone else think the average is a bit low? I mean this is as absolute peak post hardcore
Though I’d imagine a lot of low ratings were from fans that were expecting WIITB 2.0

Nearly every song on here has been my favorite on the album at some point. When I was young I didn’t care for Roderic, but nowadays I adore the mathy/Dillinger vibes on it

I don't think most people know of them aside from What It Is To Burn

WIITB is a decent album but this is about 100x better
Ultimately this band failed because the members clearly didn't have chemistry and for whatever reasons could never get along, if they made a few more records like this they would've easily made a name is a progressive/tech post-hardcore band
Also what the hell happened to this awesome drummer

I never really got too into What It Is To Burn
This always appealed to me more

This album kinda reminds me of Radiohead going from Pablo Honey to The Bends/OK Computer. What it is to Burn has some solid ideas and execution, but this album is where the musical genius and talent became a focal point
Not saying these guys are Radiohead….but you get what I mean

I'll still take WIITB every day over this but this album still has a lot of incredible shit on it. I wish they'd kept up with this direction instead of what we got on their last two releases.

Coming back to this after a long while. Always felt sorry for the band after this album released. They put their hearts and souls into it and it totally bombed. Seeing them on the tour for this album, the venue half empty, nobody cheered for them (except for me), no encore, and the band split up days later. I loved this album instantly and my brother (who went to the gig with me) was like "what is this shit?" after having introduced me to WIITB.

Wasnt it Disturbed or Senses Fail or both that fought this band onstage before cellphone videos were cool?
