It's finally hitting me how sick the chorus to A Man Alone is. Also the Piece of Mind one. Also the Brother Bleed Brother bridge. Damn it's a good record.

Every part of A Man Alone is incredible and Piece Of Mind rules hard too. This is just one of the best post post-hardcore albums of all time, how they didn't take over the world after this I'll never know.

I read somewhere that people were sending back this album (I guess the physical copies) to the band because they didn't like it. Maybe they were expecting WiitB 2, or just simply didn't have the patience to appreciate this masterpiece. This really breaks my heart, imagining the band getting these copies of the album back, which they without a doubt poured their hearts into. No wonder they went on hiatus eight months after the release.

Provide source for that. That's the most retarded thing I've ever heard, if that actually happened I doubt it was more than a handful of whiny bitches

Did the drummer on this ever do anything else? He's the best part of the album besides Nate.

Can't find it which irks me a bit, but you may be right, my memory might be just blowing it out of proportion.

Don't know about that, but it did happened to Hopesfall when they dropped the christian label. Many kids returning copies of Satellite Years (or was it the EP, not sure). It sounds dumb but it used to happen as kids didn't have the internet to bitch about their favorite bands.

That makes way more sense though since taking off the christian label is a way bigger deal to people than changing their sound a bit.

The sound here was drastically changed (IMO) from WIITB, but it still retains some of the elements from the debut. Maybe it would have worked better if the self-titled EP (or something sounding like it) was released prior to this.

It drastically changed but for the better without the former album being shit. In other words a jerb well done.

WIITB had its moments and did its sound better than most that sound like it tbh. I still like returning to it once in a while but its easily the worst thing theyve done.
This and the Phantasma demos are where the fuck its at.
