Glad to see others coming back to this with so much respect. This album is so great. BTO is just soooo underwhelming....I can't believe the two guitarists that created some of the sweetest riffs and songs on SHTS are ok with plain strum patterns again over and over again on every single song....

Row you dig this? Never heard much of them but kinda got the impression they were boilerplate sadboi music for some reason.

I have a feeling that we may never see Finch go in this direction again. This album sadly destroyed their careers.

The new album was shaping up to be a progression of SHTS. Lots more darkness, aggression and angular riffage.

Sadly this is what happens when bands go this far with developing their sound so quickly. We saw the same thing with Weezer and the Refused. They got ripped hard for their change in sound by the critics, and the general population doesn't appreciate what they were able to do. And as a result, it ended up destroying their careers(although Weezer is now coming strong now). It fucking sucks, and because of this, most bands are afraid to stretch their sound like this because they are afraid of the repercussions of it.
