I listened to this a bunch as a promo, but for whatever reason never as the first album I heard when I got up in the morning. Changed that today, and man, it works well for this purpose.

I know I am a hyped fanboy but this album is excellent from start to finish. Listened twice last night and giving it a spin now at work. I knew these guys would come out with yet another gem

Yep, this is amazing. I don't actually mind the sequencing at all! Feels like a very natural and complete journey to me tbh. Tomas' drumming is also insane on this! I feel like he gets a bit more room to let loose on this one compared to Kingdom of Oblivion

First listen its a 4 with absolutely no surprise cos theyre always a 4 minimum or have been for many a year but I felt like that last track kinda just faded out a bit, dunno. Thats just first listen',Mona Lisa/Azrael' my fave

Mona Lisa has one of the strongest melodies I've heard in a long time. Really love the guitar freakout as well

Mona Lisa Azrael is full on KC's Red and I love it. Its a shame this has only 2 actual songs, cause they slay

Dont sleep on that big boy at the end. I know it's not an actual "song" but they have done many epics in the past and an extended instrumental is a welcome addition to their catalog

Still need to give this a dedicated, uninterrupted listen but what I've heard has been as good as I'd hoped

Chariot could have used a more grandiose finale than it has, agreed.

I feel like I'd need to atleast sit through another roll of their last albums from like The Crucible onwards to really make sure where this boy sits in between exactly.

This works nicely with N.O.X. from The All Is One, especially since the last two songs here were done in the same session.

N.O.X. is sublime. Would be a 5/5 as a standalone album.
