Yeah definitely caught the Enjoy The Silence bit as well. Tastefully done and it works well.

Some interesting tidbits here: Body Language and Asking were originally gonna be Anchor and Braille songs which are Stephen's side project. That's why they sound so different and resonate with that sound if you're familiar with his side project, not that that's bad. Asking is my favorite track from the EP!

You can tell that Asking wasn't a song originally meant for Anberlin from the first 1/3rd of the song and then from there the band kicks in and it takes off BIG TIME

Interesting. I think I prefer the "Anberlin sound" although Asking is a welcome addition. Also what I gather from the above comments is that they really only wrote 3 new songs for this EP lol. Would love another EP or a full LP in the same style as Two Graves and Nothing Lost; they've emerged as my favorites here.

^ correct. 2 were A&B so they didn’t write a lot for this

I definitely like the new sounds they're trying here. Wouldn't call any of the songs their best tho. Body language might be my favorite on here so far.

This is a welcome return. Definitely can here the progression of motifs from Lowborn's "Dissenter" to "Two Graves" on this. The same applies to "Birds of Prey" to "Circles."

Honestly, they've been remarkably consistent with their discography, especially since NTFP. With only Blueprints and DITWLIAP being the only LPs I would rate as disappointments, with the latter actually having some redeeming moments.

Yeah, I can kinda tell too, though I don't think I've ever sat through one of those records all the way through.

The opening of Asking 100% reminds me of Copeland lol

This is surprisingly good. One of the best things they've ever put out
