yea sans the prod this is like everything oc/yc was not. huge return record

they still had dogs blood in the meantime to show they still had it but i am certainly glad the album ended up being built off season of the flood's template and not the other two unremarkable comeback singles

Closer best song, incredible slow burner.

The dad rock guitars hurt the closer but it also has one of Dallas's strongest choruses on here. Not a bad song at all but definitely not a highlight for me.

actually thats why i think this is a lowlight tbh lol nothing is really happening in the chorus. prob my least fav hook on the record

but also i realize not everything can be blue spade / dark night levels. unreal mid stretch

Like someone else said, the groove playing the song out is incredible. Love when bands do that

Props to them not just shoving the reunion singles in the tracklist somewhere too.

part of me wishes this had season (which i jam as the opener bc it loops back around from world stops turning fuckin incredibly) but the rest would have tanked this

Was never super into this band back in the day, but when I was in high school I always remembered them for having great clean vocals. Glad I decided to really check them out, their whole discography is awesome. Dig that it’s a bit more mature than their contemporaries

Facts. I think Crisis sounds phenomenal too though. A bit too clean but it makes Dallas' hooks on that album shine even brighter

never got the love for crisis tbh

it felt like they purposely tried to be way more accessible and lost the soul that made them truly unique

i blame dallas
