I love this band but I never really clicked with this album. it's just a meh, it's good but not their best. Don't really get why this one is considered their masterpiece. Pornography is way better

I have to totally disagree. The atmosphere on this album is second-to-none. The songwriting and diversity of the songs is excellent. They have awesome singles without being overt pop, all the way to the epic tracks like Same Deep Water As You (easily my favorite Cure song). No filler whatsoever. The sound is also excellent (and even better in the latest remastered version) Pornography is really good, but it's not the total package, IMO.
