Nu-metalcore is the plague that just won't die. Seems like every promising metalcore band gets dragged into Nu-Metal hell eventually.

Isn’t this the case with every genre? Depending on the listener, all of them can start to feel stale. The beauty of music is the constant search for what is next in line to touch your soul, yes?

"I don't like it because it popular now" is such a funny thing to say about an album/band

Has nothing to do with being popular. They changed as a band once corporate outside influence came into play. Their early material was really good because they did everything in house

Different genre but same thing happened to Saosin after Translating The Name (all done in house DYI). Big corporate Capital Records influenced their material and went downhill with each release

Yeah it's not that uncommon once a band starts to get a lot of recognition

idk about that comparison translating the name is definitely saosin's apex but self titled, along the shdaow, and like all their demos not only whip ass but align pretty well w what beau's vision for that band was, even if isosg is the most goddamn overcooked album in their scene

Wow this was absolutely dreadful what happened to this band. I won't lie the breakdown of Hysteria slaps though.

Also I see some Cove era Saosin slander above and I won't stand for it.

I haven't jammed them in a bit but their older singles like Blessed Be are still fantastic. And it's not like that wasn't already a very radio friendly tune. Why change what was working?
