Showed my wife this album for the first time. Felbomlasztott Mentokocsi terrified her so we had to stop....

Self bumping because I think this is the best breakcore album of all time. Any suggestions otherwise are happily welcomed.

I’ll wait in anticipation of answers...
I’d like a list of essential breakcore myself, as I wouldn’t know exactly what you’re looking for. Squarepusher, The Flashbulb, Tipper, even some Aphex Twin? I don’t know. Feel like it always blends with IDM/drum n‘ bass/trip-hop or something, so not sure.
This is influenced by Hungarian classical music though, no? Probably fairly unique at a guess. Either way this album blows my mind.

[2] I havent come across much like this, it's pretty niche. On either side is IDM and D&B which is far more popular and actually practical to DJ with and play in venues.
This remains a near masterpiece though. The blend of classical and breakcore drums is sublime and somehow crafts together a narrative in the songs too

This album is so good but I don't think I've ever made it all the way through in one sitting, just because it's such a demanding listen lol

I love Aphex Twin but it doesn’t really scratch the same itch this does. The dichotomy between Hungarian strings with ambient parts including the spoken word, along with the bombastic and chaotic nature of the percussion is outstanding.

One year anniversary since the last comment.
Huh? That's actually insane, and a little coincidental I guess. Potential 5 for sure, but I might wait till my next spin. vult is spot on.
