But like did you expect Shearwater to detail, lyrically, why Noah’s animals are circling an egg? What caught my eye was the tasteful and mysterious color palette. And yes I was hoping for some Animal Farm type narrative shtick.

Becoming increasingly obsessed with this after a month or so of listening. It gets better each time, and this review is exactly right: both deeply unsettling and beautiful. I think it's all the contradictions that keep me coming back. Epic and minimal and intimate and elusive.
