i'll be honest flug complaining about cancel culture on twitter is whatever cus it is pretty much the most meaningless space out there. sure lots of stupid stuff is said there and people with no concept of real life will try cancelling someone for wanting to lose weight or something but frankly the amount of stuff that actually happens as a result of that is pretty miniscule, for better or for worse.

Twitter is one of the largest social media platforms and the first place to look for news and opinions for millions of people. How can that not be impactful.

most stuff from twitter stays there or in smaller community spaces unless it's "cancelling" someone from criminal activity. most material action only really happens in the event it reaches more traditional mainstream media sources

That is a bullshit argument. I worked in the German justice system and studied it for over 10 years and it's just as decrepit and broken as the U.S. one. Just because we don't have that many statistics about the shenanigans of the German court system (gee whiz wonder why that is maybe because of all the fucking judges and other fuckwits never wanting anyone to investigate their shit?).

Even within the criminal law sciences it is commonly agreed that the justice system is ill suited to deal with sexualised violence especially within the context of word against word procedures.

Also, have you literally looked at any analyses regarding the police?
