Is it a large venue? I could only find one picture so it might not even be the right place but it looks like a small-ish club, so what like 300-400 people maybe?
I’m not really surprised. I can’t speak for every city but they had a crowd of maybe 75 people or so here and I’d say like half looked interested.
But it was also a weird ass bill on a night where another emo band was playing on the south side so maybe that had more to do with it.

Yeah ive never been but it's a historic small 240capacity venue I've heard bands playing over the years. They played it opening for Loathe before https://youtu.be/i8Mh1dRPb9s the first 50% seemed to sell quick and I thought thay theyve been blowing up big enough to sell out LA quick, but I guess I overestimated... I just want them to get the love they deserveee ;_; lol
With Knocked Loose would've been sick.

Talking just about the US, opening for Loathe was the right move, those are for sure the kind of people that would dig this imo (plus they literally have a fucking song together), but idk what was up with that nothing nowhere tour. Most of the people I saw there did not look interested in what Static Dress was doing and I didn’t even stick around for the rest. I can only imagine what they thought of SYSC lol

Honestly, just Bring Me the Horizon again. Idk if BMTH can play arenas here but they’re like, still really popular here right? I remember seeing them play third headline at this shitty little rock festival here and they drew some people but not an insane amount

So what are thoughts on the remixes?
Overall, I think the Courtney, Attempt 8, and Welcome In reduxes are better, and honestly Push Rope would be there too if they didn’t cut off the last chorus. I think the guitars hit a lot harder on that version but they cut off the best part of the track!
The such.a.shame and di sinter one’s are cool takes but I def prefer the originals. Marisol is fine too. Lye Solution is eh to me. I think some of the screams are better but I just really don’t like any of the clean vocals, at least not more than Olli’s.
Really do not care for the rest. Especially cubicle dialogue.
Overall the Courtney one is probably my favorite along with Attempt 8. Courtney is essentially the same exact song but I like the rawness compared to the original, it almost sounds like a live recording. And that second “clenching final moments” is ridiculously heavy. I love it. And the Attempt 8 one basically turned a pretty little interlude into a gorgeous full fledged song. Really really dig that one
