tbh Kendrick's radio singles are his best tracks - this record is pretty bleh in my opinion. Honestly I think that TPAB is a bit overrated and my fav tracks on it are the upbeat bops. Call me a h8r, yo

Damn. hit harder for me, but honestly I hardly revisited it in 2017. I've come back to this one more. Catching him live definitely helped this album grow for me.

I like DAMN more than this, pretty handedly, actually. It has like 3 bops and that's all I need from Kendrick.

I've genuinely never much understood his appeal when it comes to the super heady / conscious / "smart" rap stuff. To each their own, but the guy can make a rager that's for sure.

kendricks worst songs/moments are usually his commercial attempts

DAMN is so much better than this [3]

also sorta relevant today but damn is the first place i had ever heard that black isrealite stuff that seems to be "having a moment" right now for lack of better words

"kendricks worst songs/moments are usually his commercial attempts"

He´s probably the only very popular rapper that is pretty good at doing unexpected/non-pop choices in his songs.

Makes the discs worth a listen and not just the occasional bop here and there

So I strayed out of any rap lately as my hip-hop head friend I was living with is not living with me anymore and he made me pretty much listen monogenre in the house for a year and a half. so now going through this, Denzel and Nas and not so unexpectedly this is the one I like the most.

I don´t see myself running through it that much and agree with the review

Damn got way too much hate. It was the record I always wanted from Kenny following section 80, it just happened to come 6 years after : )

I'm happy to endorse to at least a small degree, but it's a /very/ different lane!

>still not heard JID

Sort this out you ingrate (xx)! This is far more relevant to the discourse
