Surprised people seem to be loving this, so far it's felt pretty lacklustre to me, like they're kind of trying new stuff by being a bit more proggy e.g. the first track, but ultimately the songwriting isn't that strong and they just slip back into the same old formulas we've heard from them for 7 albums in a row now : (

I agree they've been trying proggier stuff for a change, but this time I found the grooves just as good as Conjuring or Black Code (my personal favorites).

Never listened to these guys, but I think that should change. Same with King Gizzard.

I've only heard The Conjuring if I recall correctly but it had some jams on it. I'll give this a go
