This is much better and more interesting than I expected. The production is really, really well done. Even with all that’s happening, there’s some room to breathe.

Love the sound these guys have going on, nice variations between songs etc. Although everything seems very...loud? I'm not someone who knows a whole ton about music production but the record feels very in your face with little breathing room, despite the melodic passages and things built into the music. Is it just me?

Called Home gives me some very pleasant Soen vibes. Really don't mind the clean vocals if this is they are in their more experimental phase now. Album def ain't short of ear candy, but needs to sink in more before i can come up with deeper thoughts.

Edit: Also think that's pretty normal, considering the dark and somewhat sinister tone of the album and his metalcore adjacent type of cleans.

I saw that tour a couple weeks ago. Omnium was easily one of the best performances I've ever seen, maybe THE best. And Allegaeon was absolutely amazing too

so

the venue manager started the show ten minutes late (7:40) to let the crowd filter in some more, thus we in Dzö-nga started ten minutes after the announced time. then the tour manager, who was elsewhere until now, came in during our set and literally went onstage to angrily end our set mid-song at 8:02

we kinda just packed up to confused murmurs. Allegaeon then held a 10-minute birthday cake ceremony during their set, so I guess we got cut for cake. the venue manager is incensed, however, and the touring bands may not be invited back.
