Stand-out tracks so far: Start The Healing, Disconnect, Penance To Sorrow & Worst Is On Its Way.

Second half definitely stronger than the first.

Thank you everyone for the kind words, I appreciate it. Can we talk about how heavy and dynamic “Hopeless and Beaten” is?

A lot less ambitious than their last record, but it’s still solid and very to-the-point which I appreciate

seems more consistent than usual, I think with a couple listens I can really enjoy it

So is this better than The Nothing or just better than nothing?

DType - It's just less exhausting than The Nothing in my opinion. There's a more optimistic and melodic angle to the songwriting here. Not to mention the album is quite shorter than the past few.

I really liked SoS, liked The Nothing but was a little disappointed but this is another really good album from them

The first 2 songs released are in my opinion the weakest probably but they do work in the album and some songs are really great, songs like Let The Dark Do The Rest, Lost In The Grandeur, Penance To Sorrow and Worst Is On Its Way

It's short yes, but I would say thanks to that there isn't any filler here

BTW great drum work, Penance To Sorrow for example has really great groove thanks to Ray's drumming

But on the other hand, the mix isn't that great and bass for the most part is somewhat lost

I mean, it’s Korn being Korn. You can either stomach it or not. Don’t know what to tell ya.

honestly i wasn't expecting to be as bored with this as i was. i kinda expected it to at least be on par with The Nothing but even that was better to me.

also is anyone even going to mention how amateur hour the fuckin' guitar tone feels? It's so paper thin, I don't like it.
