I'd still give it a go mate, I'm being harsh because I was disappointed but even the worst stuff here isn't terribad, its just a bit boring and not up to their usual standard.

they admittedly havent had anywhere near a perfect track record for me i have afraid of heights at a 2.5 and iii at a 3 (lol) but its j not enticing knowing theres an album thats verry likely worse than them lol

Sweet review, spinning right now and Forgiveness is so good that the fear of what could (go wrong?) happen next is actually thrilling

Kinda feels weird that the best song on here came out in 2019, and the second best was released January 2020. In fact, 50% of this album was released before the launch.

Gonna be honest lads I can't say I disliked my first listen, surely their friendliest record but they play well so I'm not bothered. Like The Wolf is cheeesy but I love me some Copeland-y drums so it's fine, or even End of Me has both a tidy shuffle and cozy guitar/basswork.
Judged and For You are the only songs I was tempted to skip, curious to see how the next round will go.
As for Forgiveness, they did a cover of Rush's A Passage to Bangkok in 2016 so I imagine it's a bit of a homage to prog

Was kinda hopeful after the first two songs, but everything else is just meh

Man some of these songs are so corny but hard to hate at the same time… like I Beg to Differ has such a positive message it’s almost cute. Saying that song sucks would be like saying self harm and depression are good lmao

I have no problem hating any of the songs here. They all suck. Band sounds sleepy.

one thing I hate for sure is how much this shit panders to liberal heart strings. Nothing worse than a bunch of old guys getting the band together to write songs about the socio-political climate of the 2020’s. “Judged” makes me want to die/vomit.

To me it's also that this is a 30min record and half of it feels like filler, which is bizarre for such a short piece. Idk, at it's best it's probs a 3, I'm just grumpy that they're not as good as they used to be.

uggh yea this wasnt good. 2.5 even feels generous but that extra .5 is legit just only for the first two songs. outside of that the only ones i dug to any degree was reactor (altho the closer wasnt too bad either albeit pretty generic)

Forgiveness is the best thing they've done in 10 year, and reckless paradise is solid, but the rest of this is garbage.
This is not a good album.

let's hope they won't play any of these songs live while on tour; their concerts are always a blast and I'd hate to fall asleep
