This release isn't really clicking with me so far. Enjoyed all their previous efforts, but this one feels a bit too raw & aggressive. For me, anyway.

I did a discog run the other day. The aggression definitely builds throughout the course of the first three albums, but they drove straight off the cliff with this one in that respect.

Not sure about that, this one is pure madness sometimes, (that opener). But now I think this is weaker than the third one and maybe the second, more or less tied. Hmmm

Yeah that's what I meant, maybe I didn't express that clearly enough. The aggression was building throughout the first three albums so this was predictably going to be even more aggressive than its predecessors. What I didn't predict was just how much more aggressive this album would be! It's on another level entirely.
Agree that De Doden 3 is the best.
