Mechina may not be the most innovative band around, but they're consistently good, and I'm always happy to see a new album from them. Took way too long to come to streaming services though. Oh well, time to give this a listen!

Took less time than Siege though. I bought them both anyway, gotta help Tiberi and the fam to keep the dream alive.

Finally listened to it. I'd buy the albums myself if I wasn't dirt broke, but I am so streaming services I go to anyways. I'm honestly way more pleased than I thought it'd be. Was a lot better than what Aphelion made me think it'd be

Aphelion is one of the best pieces here, sad to see it being just 4 mins

Honestly, my favorite right now is probably Praise Hydrus or Totemic, but this entire album is a wonderful experience

Same favorites here.

Mechina - Siege II: This Time Its More Mediocrity would be a more suitable title

Rounding back through this as I do my top albums of the year. Really dig this album--tighter than last year's *Seige*, but I'm not sure I can tell them much apart otherwise. Strong though, and I play it a lot on my mp3 player for runs.

The vocals are all the same--the machined female vocals, where I can barely make out a memorable melody, and the occasional harshes that break things up. Works as a way of blurring it all together, but maybe more distinction would be good...

I'm kinda hoping... and hopefully with some interesting tweaks...
