opinions on these songs are completely scatterbrained lol
I love Failure Forever, Converge made an alt rock track and it works

^ Well, the whole enterprise is kind of divisive. I think that’s what’s ultimately cool about it; it’s novel for sure, and they’re not playing it safe.

nobody knows. I saw them last month and they were killer but these are the first Blood Moon shows aside from that little stint in Europe years ago.

I feel like I'm enjoying this more now - my expectations of what I wanted it to be have been laid to rest and I now take it in for what it is. And it's pretty nice.

still like this quite a bit but wish it was a side project
not really a converge album

Converge Bloodmoon: I

what is the threshold for how different a project can be before you conclude that the project should be released under the name of a different act
if my second grindcore record is otherwise a lot like my first grindcore record but this time it has harpsichord sections should i rename my band

p good case for it given that the converge name now encompasses two different rosters with two distinct sounds

yeah the sound is (sort of) irrelevant, artists aren't required to change their name every time they release something in a different style
but the roster changes make it even more distinct from 'regular' Converge and thus you'd have thought 'Bloodmoon' would be the artist name or something, idk
This certainly feels like a side-project / 'supergroup' / collab / whatever

Converge has a lot more name recognition than simply calling the band Bloodmoon

True, but the fans will know. I guess it might take a while longer for those who don't follow music as closely and just know the name 'Converge'... yet still I imagine this wouldn't remain undiscovered if it was just called Bloodmoon.
maybe they should've called it 'Kurt Ballou's Bloodmoon Collective: the Bloodening'
