Soooo this release is all really about Taylor getting full license/ownership of these tracks relative to the original album correct?
It's a smart business decision, and while I'm sure there have been plenty of artistic alterations, this seems to be purely business.

It's absolutely all about business so that she can get the rights to these new versions, but there's also 9 unheard songs too so that makes it worth it to me.

the more I listen, the more I agree that the 10 minute All Too Well is one of her best songs, if not her best period

Just watched it and it was pretty great. The lighting and effects were on point well.
Three Sad Virgins was funny too. "That was my real doctor" lmao

When I saw this rev on front page I knew it was a sowing rev good job

I appreciate this album little more after reading the review, but I still can't really get into it. To be fair, I'm not a fan of Red in the first place. I love All Too Well, though, and even though the new lyrics are good I don't really like this 10-min version. :c

Any excuse to slap some T-swizzle onto the front page : ]

Have always felt Red was the peak of T Swift. I remember listening to it when it dropped my freshmen year of college. I am not going to bother re-visiting any of the re-recordings other than what is new to this release.
The 10 minute all too well is fine, but tbh I think the song really benefited from being cut down to the best parts in the 5 min version. Nothing New is great and really should have made the album cut. I love that she added the "next new thing" Phoebe to the track who is about in the position Taylor was when writing the song. I Bet You Think About Me is a fun little country throwback.

Gave this a 4 initially, but still way too many annoying songs, even if she does sound better

i Think T Swizzle is great actually, got into her through my girlfriend otherwise I would never have given her the time of day, but MAN does she not know how to trim an album down. The albums are such a slog to get through despite containing great songs.

Similar here, I definitely would not be a fan had my sister not been such a huge swifty growing up. Also agreed, even the standard version of this is far too long.. at least the production team got her to cut All Too Well down to the manageable 5 minute version for the initial release.

that "short film" is laughably trite and pretentious. the song is good, but come on...
|
| |
Watched the short film out of morbid curiosity. I just don't get the appeal of the song or the video.

I am gunna have to check out the new version of this one in particular because I feel like her new folkmore style might fit this song even better
|

The Last Time is her most underrated song and it's a hill I am willing to die on
