hahah no, I have no idea why people keep bringing up DSO they're not even remotely similar

Yeah I don’t hear DsO here at all. Altar of Plagues to some extent… MAYBE even a hint of Pyrrhon? But no Deathspell imo.

wish I liked this more, pretty good tho

I wish it were just a bit more structured to be honest.
As a conceptual piece it's fantastic, but as a soundtrack for working out or something it's jarring with how often it devolves into power electronics

People just hear dissonance and blast beats together and think DSO automatically I think.

Exactly, nothing like DSO in song structure or writing. Just blasts and dissonance like a million other bands. Like on that Odium nostrum channel on YT. No matter what goes up if it's dissonant there's tons of comments saying 'sounds just like DSO!!'

literally ripping off Gorguts and DSO, needs some originality

I missed the Gorguts ripoff part tbh, i heard a couple of DSO riffs but that is okay. I was surprised that I kept hearing Daughters. In a good way ofc.

Damn, but this is good. It feels equal parts unnerving and despairing, but oddly enough I was also lowkey excited going from one moment to the next and eager to hear where it was leading. That mix of noise in the opener is just uncomfortable, gall damn.

The build-up to the moment @ 1:45 of "À droite du démiurge, à gauche du néant" is the stuff that really reminds you why music was created in the first place

I still wish they had noise tracks dispersed among structured tracks like Akhlys did on their most recent one, not mixed into the tracks themselves but I'll quit belly achin

this is massive. i've only heard their debut before this and this seems like a whole different band. love all the noise/dark ambient shit, and the dynamic headroom they leave for the super heavy sections is fuckin chef's kiss
