I have a theory that Alex was waiting to see how the reception for Kin turned out and whether it would really push the band into the mainstream or not. I believe Alex drums at a level higher and can/could gig with many higher caliber and better paid artists out there and in turn make a better living for himself. Alex isnt just a good drummer that’s crazy about deathcore but he’s the real deal. He’s a very well studied and disciplined musician.



Is that theory insane or sound pretty plausible to anyone else?

Just checking in to mention that the production/engineering on this album is simply incredible. The sonic depth of this beast of an album is remarkable. I’m blown away each time I put this album on for that reason.

This album took a long time to grow on me, but I've really grown to appreciate songs like "History Is Silent", "Orphan", and "Kin". I appreciate the dynamics throughout the album and I hope Whitechapel continue down this songwriting path.
