where did I say that I wanted to distance myself from it
like I get why you want to distance yourself from yours, I wasn't aware of your situation before, and when I asked about your previous username it was a genuine question because the way you talk seemed familiar. I just don't get what my previous username has to do with it lmao
if somebody from the Lego Bionicle forums circa 2006 somehow recognized me and called me Laughn'Man2006, I wouldn't get mad about it. I get why it bothers you, though.
and on the bright side, I almost asked if you were AngryLittleAlchemist, which would have been much more insulting.

veninblazer, pardon me, but are you brazilian? You remind me of someone whom I met sometime ago on a WhatsApp music group - the taste for Post-Hardcore/ Emo and Metalcore (and other bands in general), the page on RYM, being a musician... this person in particular made a recommendation on Adept's Sleepless, and that's an album that I don't see mentioned very often.
And dunno, I may just be confusing you both based on a couple of common things (and if it's the case, I would like to apologize), but... I would find it to be a nice little coincidence and also would extra appreciate that you liked this album as much as I.

deathcore as a sub-genre is pretty trash but these guys have definitely managed to hit a sweet spot. i think its 50/50 the production choices and their talent. there's more depth and detail to the sound than the usual thin, repetitive chuggy shite.

man I love the first song to this but as it goes by I feel like I get bored... while I like their change in sound they just have never grabbed me, oh well

The review was much more cohesive than the album. I'm not attacking the music itself but usually the opening few tracks of an album will set the stage, a tone, a vibe, some sort of expectation about what's in store. But the first 15 minutes of this album teased a style that almost completely vanishes by the last few tracks. Early on I'm hearing influences from bands like Illdisposed and Katatonia but by the end it's mostly Agalloch, Flaw, clean vocals and acoustic guitars.

i haven't heard much from these two bands but Katatonia and Agalloch doesn't seem like that far a stretch to me. I felt like the the first 15 set the stage perfectly for the rest of the album

pfft, like 5FDP could even write a note as tearjerking as anything in the solo of Anticure if they tried.

This album is fucking phenomenal. I liked it much more than the Valley. This level of cohesiveness and musical adventure is something I haven't felt since listening to Colors - BTBAM back in the day.
Outstanding effort from a band I didn't expect to release a banger on this level.
Hard agree with the review.
