this is why you write a review after the honeymoon phase is done (it's hard though, I will fully admit to jumping the gun giving immediate high scores to albums from time to time)

I look at reviews like a weather forecast. It's more of a +/- 0.5 projection than a rigid decree.

This is one of the better releases I've ever heard from these guys

The only reason that it doesn't have much replay for me is it is too sad.

A bunch of tracks I keep wanting to come back to, been playing this one a lot more than I expected. Even more then their last full length to be honest. I think this EP has a little bit of that illusive special sauce factor.

Sleep Well is probably one of my top 5 Circa songs at this point, the vocals are perfect

We don't talk enough about that insane production on the bass. 😳

I wouldn't mind more EP's from Circa. This and Appendage are both incredible.

Man their creature club covers have been massively slept on so I'll do shameless publicity here; I made two compilation albums of their 2020 and 2021 cover songs if anyone wants to check them out (320kbps only):

Yeah these boys seem to have some serious mojo at the moment, hope they strike while the iron is hot and give us an amazing full-length soon

Hopefully soon. They've been releasing new demos non stop (in the vein of this EP) so I hope it all materializes at some point

"the Talking Heads, Beach Boys and Jimmy Eat World covers are absolutely fucking fantastic"

The Jimmy Eat World cover floored me the first time. Also really love the Björk, Jeff Buckley, Engine Down and Billie Eilish covers as well.

Pentagram, Compensation, and Spiral need to be fully produced and released. They could basically put out a Side B of this EP with the demos they've been making. Those three in particular already sound FANTASTIC.
