Italian prog is my favorite kind. It even surpasses British prog to me.
I would give this a 3, but there is enough good passages to keep it at a 3.5

Hey e, great pick for a review. Glad you remember the tournament too. Funnily enough I discovered this album thanks Mikael Akerfeldt when Opeth came to Milano in 2013(2014?). He has the habit of talking with the audience and praised Italy for "risotto and Il paese dei balocchi". Indeed the band's name comes from Pinocchio, and yeah it's a name that can be cheekily applied to the nation (then again, Pinocchio is very satirical, it has a scene where a judge is a monkey that condemns innocent people for example)

Interesting story Sab. Amazing way to discover this album. And nice interesting description about the close bond between Pinocchio and Italy. Thanks, pal. It's always a pleasure to talk with you.
