it also has no place on the album whatsoever, it's tonally dissonant

"I bet I could manage to enjoy this somewhat"
I stood by this comment until Let Somebody Go started and everything went downhill until the last two tracks brought a bit of decency back at least damn. Also they didn't even bother to give People of the Pride a chorus

I do not understand it. This release is even weaker than I imagined. Somehow I try to speculate that this mess is not even produced by humans anymore. It just sounds so completely without any creativity. This is puzzling to me. Is this what the mainstream listeners dig into and is there a market for it? It is really that bad.

Not a clue what they were trying to achieve with this. It's basically an extremely polished turd. I did get Pink Floyd vibes from the closer though, but it just felt so out of place.

First few tracks are okay and I really honestly love Coloratura. But overall this is a boring mess.

You either retire a hero or you live long enough to see your band become Coldplay

At least Chris Martin didn't end up like Wes Scantlin, who now sounds like a banshee shitting out pine cones
