Got to see them live a couple days ago! They put on a great show. At times I wish the guitar was cranked up a bit. Band is wayyyyy tighter than when I saw them in ~2015 which was great to see. Still their best live track was Heartbeat in the Brain probably due to sheer experience of playing it live 1,000 times.
In other news ... I thought Bent Knee was AWFUL. I was in absolute disbelief how much everyone else seemed to like them. I guess I just didn't get it.
Gates was awesome, this was their first show being the opener and I thought especially their newly released ep tracks really shined.

I listened to a few songs before going on Spotify and thought it was decent and fun ... but live it sounded like 5 random college kids jamming and not making anything cohesive. The whole thing was so jarring that I actually laughed out loud during some moments. Their use of autotune and all the vocal effects is really really obnoxious. I just didn't get it at all.
They had sooooo many fans there too. I was absolutely in shock.
