Coming at this band fairly fresh. Owls was alright but I never felt it too much. This is a new proposition. It burns slow but has a range of sounds and themes that's engaging me. I like curve ball albums like this

bands appreciations depend a lot on when we get into them. I came in with Owls, and its definitely more solid than this, to say the least. I like "curve ball albums" as well and I envy anyone you manages to dig this. I feel I'm always stopping for gas here. Oh and believe it or not, Owls its a curve ball itself, I'm yet to find another record that sounds like that one.

There is not a lack of flow here, in fact this flows better than Owls. It's a full album experience ripped straight from classic YES, Genesis, and Pink Floyd albums. Strange I fail to hear any possible comparison to Parkway Drive...
I've been listening to this monster twice a day since release and am still not tired of it. Album of the year so far here.

After the first listen I have to say it's not a 2, but it for sure is a step down from Owls. Focus is such an obvious standout track. The rest of the album has moments, but not good songs.
