The album feels very loose tho. My fave is actually Line of Fire I think

Understandable! It is a very nice rendition of that song
Im very weak for En Stund på Jorden, but i might understand more of it than many here because im norwegian or idk it is not the same as swedish but close enough

Beautiful record.
I just thought the mixing was kinda weird for the first half of the tracks... I had to constantly toy around with the volume
'Line of Fire' is probably my fave track of Junip - here it does not pack the punch I was hoping for. Pretty much my only complaint. Wish it had more energy.

I can see that! Line of Fire was a song i actually wondered why he included here, but it is a nice rendition of it tho, but it could have had more energy yeah

I think you cleared the reason out well in your rev, there's a weird set of tracks towards the end, with somekind of beat. Lilla G and Swing f.e. gives lights on an African genre even (called Morna or Funana - aka nowadays Afrobeat, one of those if not mistaken). Ppl are prob not very, if any, used to that - maybe more on World music circuits.
Edit: I think Dew mentioned "latin influences". He probs spot it better, but curiously I found them much more african than latin this time, although I'm aware the dude is Argentinian.

Yes he is argentinian but raised in sweden if im not mistaken completely! Yes african vibes were exactly what i felt too sort of like Paul Simons Graceland in that regard!

One thing I know this 4 is gaining strength of solidity XD
working @home on a Saturday sucks but, with the fam around, it's folk day. Jamming this one with that Sufjan's new collab and your sweet John Martyn rec in the line.

Because it has many of the best songs he ever wrote imo and Small Hours escpecially is just jawdroppingly beautiful. There were times in college i talked about that record so much people were like "yeah yeah we know now!" hahah

ahaha sounding like me with Nick Drake XD
About Gonzalez again I was firstly introduced to his music with one of my toptier gaming moments - playing Red Dead Redemption I, just when you crossed US-Mexican frontier, if you don't start shooting and just enjoy the sights the song Far Away starts. That moment was really special to me LMAO.

Hahah yes i almost forgot about that! Wasnt line of fire in Red Dead Redemption II or was it another rockstar game? But thats a perfect example of a game incorporating a song perfectly!
