@Reli - that ranking is on point! Surprised to see Summit so low though

Nash I basically had the same ranking as Reli on the other thread but with Constance and sun killer swapped and you said it was full of bad takes smh make up your mind

I didn't realize yours was a ranking of favorite to least, you put them in buckets. So I was disagreeing that Summit is not bottom tier, Hurt you and circle with me are not mid tier, and sun killer is not top tier. So I disagreed with a third of what you said lol.

Also, thats not how Reli has those 4 tracks either. So I'd hardly call it the same

"already bored of this outside of like three songs"

yeah, every time I listen to this I enjoy it, but I don't really have a desire to listen again. I keep putting it on hoping it will stick and it doesnt

Gotta say, I'm a little let down with this album. The vocals are phenomenal but the guitarwork is pretty same-y across a couple songs. I wanted to love this so bad too...

Halcyons chorus is so good. Courtney’s pop chops are really good

I think Rise limited them to a more mainstream sound, but they really should have leaned fully into the "softer" side of this. The heavy stuff does come across as forced sometimes, Hurt You and Circle With Me are textbook risecore

I don't share the love for t/t for some reason, mine would be:

Constance
Secret Garden
Hurt You
Circle With Me
We Live in a Strange World
Sun Killer
The Summit
Eternal Blue
Holy Roller
Silk in the Strings
Halcyon
Yellowjacket (permanent skip)

Agree that the pop djent stuff works better than the nu-metal with slams.

the title track is such ear sugar to me i cant get enough of it. that first pre chorus (or i guess 2nd half of the verse? idk the part from "one by one cut the circulation" through "as eternal blue sun to eliminate old wounds") particularly has that track on repeat
