Also I really dig the super sudden song transitions. I wish more albums just jammed you into the next track like that. The beginning of Yellowjacket especially rules

Inclined to agree, Ryo is a beast but he doesn't mesh super well with the track imo.

Feel like they know how to write a great track but don't do it nearly often enough.

"Flowers will wilt, but the blue is eternal."

This part made me cringe so hard.

It's a bit ironic, because Wallflower has more longevity imo

"sorry but o.g. holy roller over ryo holy roller anyday, Courtney holds the momentum so well throughout the song and imo ryo does nothing but break it"

Huge hard disagree, listening to og Holy Roller is so boring now without Ryo coming in and taking over. The transition to him is done flawlessly imo

Adding the Ryo feature would've been like putting a little fuckin seasoning on the meal

Not the biggest of Holy Roller to start with but yeah the Ryo feature destroys pretty hard. Adds a tiny bit of variation to such a repetitive track too.

It's a shame I don't like Crystal Lake that much in general cause Ryo is OP. Probably my favorite screams in this genre right now.

Yea, these extra low lows add a little bit to it. But Holy Roller is short enough to not overstay its welcome imo.

Piglet is right when he says this album is a good djent burger. It definitely has this poppy fast food quality, but it just really well done
