It's Rise Records metalcore. Being overproduced and formulaic are requirements

Hurt You and Yellowjacket is a sick one-two punch after Sun Killer. The beginning of Yellowjacket is probably my favorite part of the album atm besides the chorus of The Summit. When Sam first comes in with his screams is it's awesome, I missed that animalistic side of Sam holy-. It does sort of derail at the chorus I'll agree there, but the breakdown rips and redeems it a bit again for me.

"Honestly if you put Blessed Be after Secret Garden and Rule of Nines after Halcyon it would fix most of my flow issues here."

dude you read my mind, that's exactly what I did earlier lmao, also added the Holy Roller version with Ryo feature but that's optional

Finally getting around to listening to this. Feels like the band has been around forever and yet this is only their first LP and second release overall? Weird.

Also I lol'd at the last sentence in the review. Hoping this is better than that other one.

sorry but o.g. holy roller over ryo holy roller anyday, Courtney holds the momentum so well throughout the song and imo ryo does nothing but break it
